Chapter Gallery commissioned me to create a live visual documentation of their Experimentica 2012: UNSEEN festival of live art in November 2012. They wanted to offer the public an instant way to engage with the performances which often happened in obscure places at the art centre. Over the course of five days I liaised with the artists and curatorial team in order to draw visual notes onto the wall of the Café Bar with performances and installations ranging from finding my soul mole to a reading of the Universal Human Rights in multiple languages.
If you would like to know more about this project or it inspired you to discuss an idea for us to work together on, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
The commission was extremely successful in raising the profile of the festival and in introducing new audiences to contemporary live art practice. In addition, Laura’s unique work created an extremely exciting, vivid and innovative artwork that Chapter continues to profile through its marketing and promotional material. Throughout the project Laura worked with extreme professionalism and insight and we hope to be able to commission her in the future.
