Inspired by the People’s Supermarket ideas as seen on the Channel 4 program, a group of like minded individuals came together to plan a similar sustainable grocery store in Cardiff. This core group of people invited me to visualise and capture proceedings of a public meeting held on 11 December 2011 as part of the Festive Food Fair at Chapter Arts Centre in Cardiff.
Based on a meeting with the core group members, I prepared an illustration which I filled in with ideas, questions and answers during the open meeting. The live graphic recording helped capture the audience’s imagination and make the underlying vision, values and plans of Siop y Bobl more tangible.
