Transeuropa Festival, an annual celebration of culture across Europe, commissioned Auralab to illustrate research about young people and their attitudes towards work. Specifically the research outcomes included four distinct personas which needed to be brought to life as posters to be used alongside the detailed scenarios for each persona.

In collaboration with Emily Wilkinson as a consultant, we developed a template that worked across all personas and was also used at workshops to enable participants to visualise their own future scenarios. This template included an overall scenery for the future as a background and a “magnifying lens” into the personal situation of each character and could be used as an individual future scenario or as a group activity to construct a joined vision for future of young people and work.

The posters were displayed in London throughout the festival and were successful in engaging passersby and participants:

Laura understood exactly how we wanted people to imagine how young people cope with making a living. She turned our research into a creative and effective set of scenarios. We have exhibited these at our Transeuropa Festival & Transeuropa Forum. We have used these to facilitate workshops and commissioned actors and actresses to enact these characters. We would recommend anyone who wants to make their research come alive to work with Laura.

  • Laura was booked by the Wales Deanery to make a graphic recording of our MedTRiM Course for doctors. She captured both the main learning outcomes of the course and the essence of the learning activities incredibly well. What she produced was so good we now use it on all MedTRiM Courses to set the scene for the day.
