Cardiff’s own two-day games festival playARK took place in and around the Chapter Arts Centre in October 2011. It featured fantastic speakers discussing using playing and games for business, learning, innovation and social change. The actual games included games on the street such as Human Bingo as well as a retro games lounge for the nostalgic of us. The festival culminated in the first ever pervasive game on the streets of Cardiff called Everwake, a chilling ghost chase game with live drama and interaction.
I was asked to create illustrations for the festival publicity to encourage people of all ages to have fun and learn more about what games can actually do.
