How can you engage people with such a large topic such as the wellbeing and future generations of Wales? One method is empathetic narratives and rich illustrations. In collaboration with Rosa Robinson from Work With Meaning we took the key points of the proposed Future Generations Bill and weaved them into a series of five illustrated images that WWF Cymru and the Sustainable Development Alliance could use to campaign for the bill to be passed in Welsh Government. We introduced Wales as a nation showing the way to the rest of the world by committing to long-lasting sustainable action. The content was divided into key sections around people and nature, fair trade and impact of our choices around the world, climate change and role of the proposed commissioner as a connector between people and government. The illustrations have been used on social media, websites and in presentations to ministers to promote awareness of the bill. The campaign was also included in a big feature on Wales Online. Since then, the bill has been passed into an Act and Wales now has a female Future Generations Commissioner.

  • Laura was booked by the Wales Deanery to make a graphic recording of our MedTRiM Course for doctors. She captured both the main learning outcomes of the course and the essence of the learning activities incredibly well. What she produced was so good we now use it on all MedTRiM Courses to set the scene for the day.
