Regenerating historic churches – graphic recording

 

Last Tuesday I had the pleasure of attending  Enterprising Heritage, an event held at the SW1 Gallery in London celebrating the achievements of The Churches Conservation Trust (TCCT).  The guests from heritage, third and private sector learned about the Trust’s strategic priorities of tourism, volunteering and philanthropy and heard speeches from the Rt Hon John Penrose, Minister for Tourism & Heritage, TCCT Chairman Loyd Grossman OBE and Emma Bridgewater of Emma Bridgewater Ltd. In February I was asked to design the programme for Do I have to paint you a picture?, an international Polaroid exhibition and symposium. After a nice break that included no presents, rushing or spending much money, I have been getting back in gear by reading some of my favourite blogs. And I feel particularly warm and fuzzy in my heart as I see the same ethos and sentiment carry through so many people’s minds: to establish better conditions to unleash creativity within themselves. I’ve just finished doing some work for the brilliant artist, Matt Cook, on his Open Top Sound art event coming up in Colchester this Saturday.
